Blogapalooza ConnecteD Event 2018

It’s no secret that the digital industry is constantly changing. In order to stay relevant, we need to keep up with the speed of today’s ever-changing digital landscape. Every so often, there’s a new tool to learn, a new medium to master, and maybe a new way to do things we normally do. Before we know it, the digital world has once again shifted into something we would hardly recognize from when we started a few years ago.

Blogapalooza 2018

Events such as Blogapalooza, an annual gathering of content creators in the country, help us be up to speed on the changes in the industry while we network with the best and brightest in the blogosphere. Blogapalooza is one of the biggest business-to-blogger networking and marketing event in the country.

This year’s roster of topics circle around three D’s — Diversity is an opportunity; Digital is the bridge; and Data is the key. There were panel discussions from successful content creators on Monetizing YouTube Content, Engaging Gen X/Xennials, and utilizing the power of influence (Queens of Digital Media). There were also talks from the industry leaders on Data Analytics and Influencer Marketing (Miko David), Transitioning from Traditional to Digital Media (Christine Bersola-Babao), and the Secrets to Instagram Domination (Nix Eniego).

I love that the Blogapalooza team highlighted the platforms often used by content curators — Instagram and YouTube. There was also emphasis given on the business side of blogging and content creation — from understanding and engaging with the target audience to analyzing data analytics. I found these topics relevant and helpful as I am in the process of rebuilding and rebranding this blog.

Miko David’s talk on Data Analytics and Influencer Marketing was also extremely helpful. I am an advocate of data-driven digital marketing for local MSME’s, and I’m very excited to practice what I have learned in his talk and share these to the local business owners here in Iligan.

Blogapalooza has once again proven to be a gathering not to be missed by influencers and content creators in the country. As in the first time I joined in 2016, I learned a lot and truly enjoyed meeting fellow bloggers from all over the Philippines. It inspired me to work harder to #ElevateInfluence in 2019 and the many years ahead!

Thank you, #Blogafam!
